Juan Martin jg6 BIO

Juan Martín (Terrassa, 1977), aka “Juan Martin jg6” is a guitarist, composer and teacher.

With more than 20 years dedicated to teaching, he is founder and professor of the Escola de Música Cromàtica in Terrassa and professor of the online academy Escuela de Guitarristas.

Juan began playing guitar at the age of 15 as a self-taught, influenced by Yngwie Malmsteen, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, and John Petrucci among others.

Apart from his work as a teacher he has collaborated in masterclasses of great guitarists such as Mattias IA Eklundh, Andy James and Greg Howe.

Since 2006 he has recorded three instrumental albums (“Flying Reindeer”, “Guitar Farm”, “Composite“) and played in the band Bartok (Progressive Metal) until 2013 when, along with other members of Bartok, they founded Rising Core. With them he has recorded two albums, “Rise” (2014) and “Under Thoughts” (2017). They are currently working on their third studio album. In 2015 he joined the Spanish metal band Döria where he recorded an album “Mom3ntum” (2016) toured and played at the music festival “Leyendas del Rock”.

Juan has also recorded music for films, video games and television commercials.

In 2018 he was invited to NAMM 2018 in California where he signed as an artist for the Detroit brand “Sankuer Composite Technologies” (carbon fiber guitars) and designed his own model the “RS427 Juan Martin jg6”, the following years returns to the NAMM 2019 and NAMM 2020 booth to perform in the “Detroit Sound/SCT”.

In the summer of 2020 release his new instrumental album “Composite“. For the following year 2021 Juan releases two more instrumental singles, “Moonlight” and “Eleven
